The Colosseum is the largest amphitheatre in the world and has been standing for almost 2 millenia; it was built in 72 and completed in 80 AD, a true testament to the engineering feats of the Roman Empire. Admittedly, there wasn’t all that much to do in the Colosseum after the initial sweep of euphoria upon seeing something so grand and spectacular. I found the walks around the ancient ruins surrounding the Colosseum to be more interesting and pleasant.
