The Hamarikyu Gardens (浜離宮恩賜庭園) is a veritable oasis in a concrete jungle, situated in the heart of Shimbashi, a bustling financial and business district more well known for its droves of salari-man than parks. I’ve read about the park’s beautiful Nanoha flowers and decided to come and take some pictures.
Unfortunately I lost my way while searching for the place and arrived only shortly before the park’s closing time at five, and the sun was already setting. I’ll have to come back another time soon.
Some of the cherry trees are already blossoming – its almost spring time in Tokyo.

Beautiful images Vong, What a difference the springtime makes. In the brief few days we’ve had of sunshine here (UK) it lifts the soul. A bit early for blossoming trees yet though!

These pictures make the weather here (Australia) seem terrible as we are entering autumn.

I have been planning a trip to see the Sakura Bloom at Washington DC. I hope they are as pretty as the ones in Japan.

Nopez. New York, NY. Apparently there are Cherry Bloosom trees that were given as gifts from Japan. I am not sure what the actual story is yet.
