It was work as usual yesterday despite the weekend, but in the evening a few of us bugged out for a short breather at the local Matsuri 祭, a traditional Japanese summer night bazaar, or something like that.
Matsuris are the best time to savour the local Japanese delights all at one shot, like Takoyaki ( fried Octopus ), Okonomiyaki ( a pan fried dish, pictured below ) and Yakisoba ( Japanese fried noodles ) , just to name a few.
We made our our way through the stores fairly quickly, targeting only the tastiest stuff.
Great food = satisfied customers. From L to R we have Nakata-san, power animator, Yamura-san, Freedom’s director of photography, ( she also worked on Steamboy and Koji Morimoto’s Surivial and Noiseman, two of my favourite animation works of all time ) and Matsui-san, my lighting chief.
Ok…back to work…
