Every since the new Starwars Trilogy started with The Force Awakens I’ve not only looked forward to the films but also the incredible art books that came with the movie releases. The official concept art book for The Rise Of Skywalker won’t be out till late March this year, but thankfully we also have the Visual Dictionary, which is equally amazing.
Produced in close collaboration with Lucasfilm and written by Star Wars insider Pablo Hidalgo, this 200-page book is packed with plenty of detail, with close up pictures of props, character and world trivia as well as my favorite, the cross-section illustrations, which are always fun to look at and study.
At only $14.99, this is practically a steal with so much material packed into a hardcover volume. You may or may not have liked the film, but the superb artistry that went into making the movie is well worth checking out.
This book is a perfect companion for the Art of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which focuses on concept art.
