Game Of Thrones is an epic fantasy series by HBO, adapted from George R. R. Martin’s series of fantasy novels. The quality of the show is exemplary across the board, from cinematography, costume, production and set design to VFX.

This book serves as a making of/visual guide, covering topics such as costume and set design, VFX, with the occasional concept art thrown. It’s not a full fledged “making of” book, but still has more content than your usual coffee table book with glossy pictures and fluff.

(above) The set and production design on the film is just brilliant, with layer upon layer of complexity and addition to detail usually seen only in feature films.

I’m full of praises for the series, and look forward to the upcoming seasons with anticipation. This book gives a little more dimension and background to the already acclaimed production. Recommended.
