Pixar in a Box is a behind-the-scenes look at how Pixar artists do their jobs. A collaboration between Pixar Animation Studios and Khan Academy, the website offers educational videos and tutorials running the whole gamut of animation/filmmaking topics and disciplines including animation, effects, simulation, storytelling, modeling, the works, really.
As a lighting artist myself, the topic Color Science ( Color Space ) is particularly up my alley. ( see video below )
The color concepts illustrated in these videos ( there are many more on the website besides the one above ) are quintessential to anyone who is keen to work in the VFX industry, especially those hoping to become lighting TDs, compositors or lookdev artists. If that is your interest, I highly recommend you check them out ! For those already working in the field, this is an excellent refresher course as well.
Check out Khan Academy’s Pixar In A Box page to view all the different topics they offer – there’s likely something that you will interest you.

I just began watching these videos. Very informative and well done. A year or so ago I began dabbling a bit with Prismacolor colored pencils (I am purely an amateur, drawing for fun),and I was taken aback by how hard color can be (and how little I understood it).
