The World of IT Art Book Review

I thorough enjoyed Andy Muschietti’s live-action remake of Stephen King’s renowned horror novel IT; the engaging story, tastefully done horror elements and great VFX all coalesced beautifully in both IT and IT : Chapter 2.

This art book collects the best artwork produced during the making of both of these sophisticated and visually enthralling films, including concept art, sketches, storyboards, and behind-the-scenes photography. The last few pages of the book explore the visual development of Pennywise’s final monster form ( including the title image above ) and is probably the highlight of the book for me, but there’s plenty of other great concept art pieces to like in here.

I’m not usually a big fan of horror films but the great visual storytelling of IT really sold me. This book is the perfect volume to explore behind the scenes concept art that make these two films so successful and comes highly recommended.
