Emma Sky (スカイエマ) is a Japanese illustrator based in Tokyo. I first featured her work in this issue of the Japanese magazine Illustrator. This is her 2nd art book; you can read the review for the first art book here.
The artist’s loose and rough drawings elicit a sense of freedom and carefreeness in her illustrations, and her use of bold colors give additional visual punch to the images.
(above & below) The outer slip cover folds out to become a mini poster.
I really like Sky Emma’s unique style of illustration; something quite different from most of the other Japanese artists out there who prefer more detailed rendering. This 2nd art book contains almost all new work and do not overlap with content from the artist’s first art book. Recommended.
