Movies Of The 2000s is a pick of the 99 most influential films made in the 2000s by author and art/cinema historian Jürgen Müller. He begins the book with an essay on the cinematic zeitgeist of contemporary movies, and then over the course of the next 800 pages or so introduces us to his top films from 2001-2010, with about 10 titles from each year.

Each featured film is accompanied by production photos, a synopsis, analysis, and movie-buff trivia, as well as cast, crew, and technical listings.

I love Jürgen Müller’s series of books on cinema, and have all the titles from his “Movies of the 70/80/90s” published by Taschen. His writing is both insightful and educational, and most importantly of all makes me want to watch the films mentioned. My exposure to movies has increased considerably after reading his books.

This volume is an excellent resource for film-lovers, and it give my highest recommendations.
