Some pictures of my copy of the Trilogía de Guillermo del Toro, Criterion collection’s special 3 disc blu-ray boxset of Guillermo del Toro’s Cronos, The Devil’s Backbone and Pan’s Labyrinth.
The packaging ( made entirely of cardboard I think, with little or no plastic ) somewhat resemble a jewel box or a very fancy chocolate box.
(above) Discs for the each of the films are housed in 3 of the four foldout cardboard flaps, and in the middle there is the 100 page booklet. ( see images further below )
(above & below) Some pages from the hardcover 100 page booklet.
(above) The tree in Pan’s Labyrinth leading to the giant toad’s lair. There are many more concept art sketches from the film that can be found in Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities and Pan’s Labyrinth : Inside the Creation of a Modern Fairy Tale, both of which I recommend without reservation.
I’ll need to set aside some time to re-watch all the three films and their respective making of specials; for any fan of GDT this beautiful boxset comes highly recommended.

It would have been nice if Crimson Peak was also included since it is very similar in tone to these films even though it is in English.

Terry – True, I guess Crimson Peak just wasn’t part of this series of films that GDT envisaged. A separate criterion release for Crimson Peak is certainly welcome ! :]
