Ukix Temp was a mini anime exhibition held at Animanga Zingaro ( previously called Pixiv Zingaro ), Tokyo during the last week of June 2019. The exhibition showcased art work from the anime film Cencoroll as well as the personal art work of manga artist Atsuya Uki, who almost single-handedly created the anime back in 2009 and propelled him to much fame. The exhibition was also to commemorate the launch of the sequel ( Cencoroll Connect ), which was released on the 29th of June 2019; check out the trailer below –
It so happened that I was in Tokyo during the last week of June, and chanced upon the exhibition because I was visiting Nakano Broadway ( a shopping mall in Nakano, Tokyo renowned for it’s anime art shops ), where the exhibition was held.
Animanga Zingaro has an active list of anime exhibitions throughout the year ( like this cool Guilty Crown exhibition I saw back in 2012 ), so if you’re visiting Tokyo definitely check out what is ongoing at the gallery.
