Breakfast with Danny Choo

(pic courtesy of Danny Choo) After several missed opportunities in the past to hook up due to my long working hours I was finally able to meet Danny Choo ( web entrepreneur, creator of Mirai Inc. and who alterego is the famous Tokyo Dance Trooper ) yesterday in Musashi Koyama for breakfast, thanks to my friend and ex-coursemate Jason Ho ( now working on the Clone Wars in Lucasfilm ). Jason is in Japan to spend the new year and had arranged for a meet up with Danny, so I very conveniently tagged along.

Over the course of our two hour chat Danny shared with us his working experiences in Japan, the future of his business venture, as well as tips on blogging, generating web traffic, amongst other things, all highly insightful.

(Below) Some goodies that he bought for me and Jason.

I know absolutely nothing about figures, having bought my first one and only figure earlier this year, but the book “Arcade Mania!” covers content closer to my field of work in animation and games. My talented colleagues from Polygon Pictures created the very spiffy opening sequence for Capcom’s Street Fighter IV, check it out in the embedded video below :

Its the last day of 2008,  where are you guys headed ? I’m thinking of making my way down to Ageha ( a huge club in Shinkiba where I attended PVD’s swell gig a few years back ) for their countdown party, hope the music’s good.

Take care folks, and Happy New Year.

Sadly, I have no where to go this New Years. Just staying at home, I guess. I was supposed to go to HK, Taiwan, and Japan this holiday, but due to time difficulties, I am no traveling over there in the middle of January.
