Bitch’s Life Illustration File Art Book Review

Warning : The following post contains nudity/adult content.

This one I chanced upon during one of my regular visits to the BookOff chain of 2nd hand bookstores in Tokyo. It’s probably harder to locate in a conventional bookstore due to the adult (females in various stages of undress, SM/bondage themes) nature of the book.

The title I suspect has less of a misogynistic intend but was more likely chosen to grab attention. Some images below are too graphic for this (mostly) PG blog so I’ve taken the liberty of censoring some areas.

(above) Art work by Katsuya Terada ( Monkey King, Zenbu, Covergirls ). (Below) Illustration by Sho-u Tajima, who did some concept art work for the animated section of Tarantino’s Kill Bill. Check out his Rosario Yeti art book here.

(above & below) Art work by Tsukasa Jun. Tsukasa Bullet is the only art book to his name.

(above) Art work by Range Murata. (Prismtone, Last Exile) I definitely prefer his more realistic illustrations than the Lolicon type. (below) The unmistakable art work of Hiroaki Samura (Blade Of The Immortal, Brutal Love).

(below) Hyper realistic airbrush illustrations by the one and only Hajime Sorayama.

I’ve left out works by some other artists in the book that are objectional/too extreme, including some overtly Lolicon images by the Katsura Masakazu, who otherwise is an excellent artist. For his PG rated work, I recommend The Art Of Tiger & Bunny, and Zuroku Extended.

Availability : This book has been out of print for quite a while. You can get used copies from Amazon Japan Marketplace.
