Kimura Takuya + Nissin Cup Noodles

(above) Kimura Takuya of Japanese pop group Smap vends some Nissin Cup Ramen, taken in Shinjuku just before I boarded the airport limousine to Narita, on my way back to Singapore. Now I reckon this familiar face is going to sell Nissin as many cup ramen as did the entire Freedom Project, most probably more. With the series now complete and Freedom’s Nissin Cup Noodle campaign over its back to good old thespian endorsements, and who better to start it off than KimuTaku.

I’m now back home for a short holiday, enjoying late night Kopis with my good friends and tasty local cusine. I do regret having to miss Freedom Seven’s internal screening (and my colleagues) at Sunrise on Thursday; the studio will be sending me a dvd copy later next month so that will have to do.

I also received my Sword of the Stranger dvd boxset just before I left for Singapore and took some pictures, so I will write about that soon, suffice to say Stranger has some of the best swordfight scenes I’ve seen in any animated feature.

For now…its time for some more local food ! :]

Have fun in Singapore!! 🙂 Kimura Takuya sure looks a lot older now. But star power has always been a great marketing strategy. 🙂

That cup noodle, I think I’ve seen somewhere before!! I always thought it was just a cheap American brand though, since someone posed for it, I will have to get it.
I hope you had a fun trip in Singapore!!
