Freedom Nissin Cup Noodles Commercial 7

Theme music is once again Utada Hikaru’s “Kiss & Cry” from her latest single, now selling like hotcakes all over Japan. I was just in the neighbourhood Tsutaya yesterday and the single has already secured itself snugly at the top of the ranking charts. The mood in this latest commercial takes a much darker and sombre tone as compared to the previous one, a harbinger for things that is soon to happen in the series. While the television commercials have always revealed major plot events everytime, my colleagues and I all feel that its revealing just a little too much this time round.

Production notes

1) We were not involved in the making of this commercial at all this time – work on Freedom 5 was just too crazily hectic. It was subbed out to IKIF, who has done some work for us (Sunrise) and Production I.G. We are up for the next ( 8th ) commercial though.

2) The hurricanes are all CG generated by IKIF. We are quite impressed.

3) Has no one noticed ? No one is eating cup noodles in this commercial ! Bravo !
