Warning : The following post contains nudity/adult content.

Taschen’s 100 Manga Artists book is an excellent way to discover some of the best and most influential comic artists now working in Japan. Each artist entry ( sorted from A to Z ) includes biographical and bibliographical information as well as a small sampling of their art work, totally over 650 pages of content.

Work by famous creators like Otomo Katsuhiro (Akira) and Inoue Takehiko (Vagabond) are easy to recognize but I am actually new to many of the artists featured in the book.

5×8 eh, was hoping for something bigger to showcase the art.

GodKingTrump – Yeah, this is one in their “pocket-sized” series of books.

DISTRAKT

These pocket-sized books take me back to the days that use to enjoy the Big Little Books of Popeye, Road Runner, and Bugs Bunny.

Awesome! I would like to know manga artists, especially more indie type artists like Taiyo Matsumoto.

It’s a really nice volume but some of the panel selections feel a little random to me.
