Hello and thank you for visiting Halcyon Realms. My name is Vong yonghow and I am a Singaporean computer graphics artist working in the animation industry in Tokyo, Japan. I am currently attached to Polygon Pictures as a lighting and compositing artist.

Prior to this I was in Sunrise Emotion Animation Studios working on Otomo Katsuhiro’s Freedom Project, an OVA animation series commissioned by Nissin Cup Noodles for their 35th Anniversary, with character and mecha design by Otomo Katsuhiro, and theme song “This is Love”, performed by Utada Hikaru.
I studied filmmaking for 2 years in Toho Gakuen, and have been living in Japan since April 2004 after been awarded the NAC Takashimaya film scholarship. Because of my love for photography, animation and film I have tried my hands on many different fields and have worked as an animator, Inferno artist intern, as well as a fashion photography assistant.
I am continually inspired by sights and visuals in everyday life which helps me develop fresh ideas for future projects. When time permits, I like taking pictures with my Nikon DSLR and Mamiya 645 Pro.
Please take a look around my blog and feel free to drop me a comment. :]
