A compilation of cloud pictures I’ve taken over the years…I’m fascinated by clouds.
(above and below) Taken somewhere over the Indian Ocean, enroute from Singapore to Paris.
(above) Taken while on the Eurostar, enroute from Paris to London. (below) The rooftop of my hotel in Montparnasse, Paris.
(above) A brewing storm somewhere over Nagano. (below) Taken from my room in Singapore.
(above) A very distant Mount Fuji ( I think ) breaks the monotony of the landscape during one of my flights back to Tokyo. It was close to sunset and as I recall the scene was so breathtakingly beautiful and surreal I had tears in my eyes. Remember the scene in Robert Zemeckis’s Contact where Ellie travels to Vega and sees the star system for the first time ? Yep, it felt something like that.
(below) This was actually on the same flight about 4 hours earlier – those skies had the most incredible, intense blues I have ever seen. ( I did some minute leveling in Photoshop but the original colors are untouched. ) And this was taken with my cheap Nikon D40 camera and and even cheaper zoom lens, plus I was behind a non too particularly clean plane window. ( two windows actually, an interior and an exterior one. )
Some of these pictures can be seen in higher resolution on my 500px page. I’ll upload the rest soon.
