Inuyashiki Live-action Film Trailer

After the full CG film Gantz O, Inuyashiki is the next manga series by Japanese comic artist Oku Hiroya to hit the big screen, this time as a live-action film. Check out the trailer below :

An aging salaryman named Inuyashiki and a high school student called Hiro are the unexpected recipients of an unknown alien technology which transforms their mortal bodies into powerful mechanical weapons, and the duo’s opposing agendas soon bring them into an inevitable, devastating conflict.

Life-action sci-fi/fantasy films haven’t always been Japan’s forte ( Attack On Titan ), but the take away is the increased international exposure for the original comic, which is always a good thing.

Inuyashiki will be released in Japan on the 20th of April. Official website here.

If you haven’t seen Gantz O ( the full CG film based on Oku Hiroya’s manga Gantz Osaka ), I highly recommend checking it out. The film has some great action sequences and creature designs.
