Vacation, Singapore.

My apologies for the lack of updates for the past week or so – I was back in Singapore for a short vacation and had a blast hanging out with my old friends and gorging on all sorts of  local delights that happened across my path, certainly one of the highlights I look forward to every time I’m home.

(below) A rather impromptu picnic in East Coast Park with Kat, Nigel, Ray and Gary. The weather was beautiful that day; azure blue skies with gargantuan, puffy clouds that one seldom get to see in Tokyo.

(above) The same bunch of folks in Geylang for some supper; the Douhua was absolutely divine. (below) A photo opportunity with my old friends from Temasek Polytechnic after a dinner reunion. It was nice catching up; we’ve been friends for more than 10 years now.

(above) My parents on board the Singapore Flyer, a big a** Ferris Wheel in Marina Bay that gives you a fantastic, panoramic view of the Singapore City sky line. We then swung by Mount Faber after having Dim Sum at Red Star in Chinatown; it was a very touristy day.

Before I realized it was time to head back to Tokyo again – I was fairly worried that the current swine flu would delay customs clearance but thankfully there wasn’t too much trouble – maybe not yet. Any of you folks had to change your travel plans due to the pandemic ?

And now its time to do some catching up on my posts – Stick around for the Art of Street Fighter, coming really soon.

Singapore has changed much yet unchanged in certain ways. it is still ruled by the men in white. ^^

Wow! Some trip! Probably 6 meals a day and 4 hrs of sleep? :) Did you manage to cover SG in a week?

    Paopao still looks the same!

A friend was planning to visit NYC in 2 weeks, but she might change her mind. Apparently, she would be qurantined for 7 days when she returns to SG.

This S.Flu has been played up by media; comparing it with SARS? Quite silly!
