Tokyo CGM Night

Posted By yonghow on February 8th, 2009

I was over at Fiat Cafe in Aoyama last night with a friend attending the 2nd Tokyo CGM ( Consumer Generated Media ) Night, a gathering of leading bloggers, YouTubers, and folks in IT, media and creative industries, organized by Danny Choo and Andrew Shuttleworth. Big thanks to Danny for the invitation.

Some big names like Google, Amazon and Microsoft were present, as well figure makers Kotobukiya and Good Smile. Gotta find some time to write to the folks who passed along their business cards.  I had hoped to talk to Fuminori Kizaki (director of Afro Samurai) but I didn’t really get a chance, better luck next time perhaps.

It seems like most folks who’ve been living Japan for a while invariably get afflicted with the Japanese Peace sigh syndrome, myself included. I didn’t get the gentleman’s name, but I reckon he must be a famous blogger or some Internet startup hotshot.

For more pictures, videos of the event read Danny Choo’s post here.
