Short Peace is an upcoming anime anthology project ( think the likes of Genius Party ) by Akira creator Otomo Katsuhiro, based on his manga of the same name. It was first announced on Otomo Genga’s exhibition blog, and the list of directors participating include Redline’s creator Katsuhito Ishii and Gundam/Super Robot Wars mechanical designer Hajime Katoki, and others yet to be announced. Production will be handled by Sunrise.
Short Peace is also of particular interest to me personally because one of the films in the anthology is directed by Shuhei Morita, whom I was lucky enough to work under on Freedom Project. ( with character/mecha design by Otomo Katsuhiro ) Morita-san also visited Singapore back in 2008 during the screening of Freedom.
Information is rather scarce at the moment, but I’ll update this article whenever new stuff comes up.

i’ve been looking forward to some real news about this for a while now. any word on release, or if there is a real trailer that shows any actual animation out there? very excited!

Zack – I haven’t seen any trailers online, it was screened at the Hiroshima International Animation Festival.
As far as distributors/release is concerned I think it’s going to be touring around the film festival circuit for a while before any general release is planned.
