I’ve had my eyes on this book for quite some time now and finally bit the bullet and ordered it recently. Worth every penny, I should say. Enough accolades have already been said of this great artist so I’ll just skip the waxing and let you guys enjoy the art :

I’ve been wondering what is the special ingredient in Adam Hughes art work that make it stand out when viewed across an entire shelf of comic covers. Perhaps there isn’t any single defining quality but I’ve always found the eye contact of his subjects particularly engaging and really captures my attention.

(above) The artist lists some of his notable influences -I can definitely recognize the touch of Mucha in his use of bold outlines.
