Wow. There’s so much Otomo awesomeness in this book I’m completely geeking out right now ! Kaba 2 is Otomo Katsuhiro’s latest artbook, a culmination of more than 20 years of anime/manga/illustration work.

I flipped through it cover to cover last night when it arrived….just AWESOME. Can’t wait to go back and savor each image for hours!
ONE drawback though….no English translations like on the original Kaba! Bit of a letdown, but it’s still an incredible book!
How about that design and packaging too? Extra cardboard box to keep it nice? Sweet!

i just got mine, too!!!!! ohmygoshthisisamazing!!!!!! i have been making myself not look at this page until i got it and i’m so glad i did. i will also say that i was hoping for some English like the last one, but who cares, this is undoubtedly the best book that i have gotten in so long. i have been waiting for this forever and it’s finally hear!!!!! what am i going to look forward to now?!?!?!?

yes, it was collected in the Otomo Anthology 2 and i believe it was also made into a short animated film.

Thanks Harry and Zack, I’m always on the lookout for more Otomo work that isn’t listed on his wikipedia page. I find it an utter crime that the majority of his manga works are impossible to find on amazon.

Hi, very nice art work. I especially like the one with the dad and two kids with their bikes strapped to their backs and the one little kid has his dog instead of his bike 🙂

yeah, it’s pretty rough. i think i am up to date on owning his comics or art books. i have had to look all over the place and even get some people living in Japan to help me out with used book finds. his work never ceases to amaze me and anything i have ever paid for any of his work has been totally worth it.
