I simply couldn’t contain my excitement after watching the teaser trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s Hellboy II : The Golden Army and had to give a shout-out – HBII looks too wickedly good !
Mike Mignola’s Hellboy comics have been a big favorite of mine for a long time and it was really great news when Guillermo del Toro ( who made Blade II and Pan’s Labyrinth, both favorites of mine ) decided to helm the first Hellboy film back in 2004. From what I’ve seen in the trailer Hellboy II looks to be just as good, if not better than the first film. Prince Nuada, the enigmatic leader of an ancient elf race and Hellboy’s adversary in this installment looks so devastatingly cool I think I’ll be rooting for the bad guys.
Hellboy II won’t be out till summer next year, so let the long wait begin…

My memories of Hellboy are kinda vague, so I guess it’s time I rewatch the show
The first two screenshots of the baddies look really cool. The fellow in the second one reminds me of one of the creatures in Pan’s Labyrinth, the one with eyes in his hands if I recall rightly.
Del Toro is a stylish director with an acute sense for atmospheric visuals. I think that’s one of the reasons why he’s been tapped to direct some of these comic-book-turned-movies.

they’re making Hellboy II? Wow.. i can’t hardly wait. from the trailer, it’s better than the first movie.
