Evangelion: It Can (Not) Be True is a CG short directed by Somei Sun to mark the release of Oppo’s new limited-edition Ace2 EVA smartphone. Check it out below –

The short re-imagines some of the most impressionable and iconic scenes from the original animated films and does a commendable job in re-creating them in CG.

A full length, high quality CG or live-action film as such would certainly generate enormous interest for the huge Evangelion fanbase out there; perhaps we might still see this happen in the near future ?

The final Rebuild Of Evangelion animated film will likely be released later this year, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the new series of Rebuild films. I highly recommend checking out the Groundwork Of Evangelion series of art books ( see cover art below ), which really showcase the amazing art work and animation drawings before the films.
