Each film entry comes with a story summary and character profiles, but the real value of this book are the numerous poster and original ticket stub designs for each film, which has never been collated into a comprehensive volume until the publishing of this book. Also included is an interviewed with famed Ghibli producer Toshio Suzuki, as well as a few of what I would call “light fluff/filler” articles that touch on some collective themes found throughout the films like “flight/aviation in Ghibli films” / “Architecture in Ghibli films”; nothing really in-depth.

The Roman albums, Storyboard and Art Of books for each of Ghibli’s films are of course irreplaceable when it comes to actual art content, but this guide book is certainly very useful when you need a quick trivia check or reference from any Ghibli animated film, all neatly collected in this one volume. A must have for Ghibli fans, and comes recommended.
