Gear – Another Day : Yamada Akihiro Picture Book Review

Gear – Another Day is a short story picture book with illustrations by by manga/concept artist Yamada Akihiro ( Lodoss War : Lady Of Pharis, RahXephon ) and sci-fi writer Suga Hiroe. The story is set in a dystopian wasteland of the future, where Roboroids working at a defunct toy factory encounters a doll.

Yamada also serves as costume designer and visual artist on the Kabuki influenced stage play of the same name that is performed in Kyoto.

I’ve been a long time fan of Yamada Akihiro’s beautiful art work since Lady Of Pharis, so this was a day one purchase for me once I spotted it during my recent time in Tokyo. Recommended.
