Tribute To Otomo Exhibition in Tokyo

In commemoration of famed manga artist Otomo Katsuhiro’s livetime achievement award (Grand Prix d’Angoulême) at the Angoulême International Comics Festival in 2016, Tower Records Shibuya will be holding the Tribute To Otomo Exhibition from June 3rd – June 18th 2017.

The exhibition will showcase 80 original pieces of art work by Japanese and French artists featured in the Otomo – A Global Tribute To The Mind Behind Akira art book. In additional, there will also be some never exhibited Otomo Katsuhiro original drawings on display. Famed Korean illustrator Kim JungGi will also be holding a live-drawing session on the opening day.

If you’re a fan of Akira or Otomo’s work and happen to be in Tokyo around the exhibition days, definitely check it out. I’ll likely drop by some time in the 2nd week of June.
