Perfect Blue Storyboard Art Book Coming In March 2015.

Japanese publishing house Fukkan will be releasing a storyboard book for Kon Satoshi’s animated film Perfect Blue in March 2015. Here are some details of the book :

– Full storyboards from Perfect Blue, split into 3 volumes A, B and C, including deleted shots. Page count is approximately 380 pages and the volumes will be housed in a case.

– An additional booklet containing Perfect Blue illustrations, image boards and settei/character sheets and more. Approximately 48 pages.

– Total page count : About 428 pages

– Book dimensions : A4 ( 29.7 x 21 cm )

– Expected retail price : 5940 ( about 52 USD )

This is actually not the first time the storyboards have been released in print form – the Japanese limited edition dvd also comes with the storyboards, albeit at a much smaller print size. As a matter of fact, all the storyboards for Kon Satoshi’s animated films have been bundled with the special edition dvd boxsets.
