Conviction – An Anthem Trailer From Neill Blomkamp

Anthem is an upcoming online multiplayer action role-playing video game being developed by BioWare/EA. The life-action trailer for the game is directed by Neill Blomkamp ( District 9, Elysium ) and VFX created by his company Oats Studios. Check it out below –

The action sequences show many of the visual hallmarks of Blomkamp’s previous films – sleek mechas and slow-mo gunfights; all tastefully executed.

The game is slated for a worldwide release for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 22, 2019. Players will assume the role of a Freelancer, one of a group of people who leave their civilization to explore the surrounding landscape.

If you like the mecha and robot designs of Neill Blomkamp’s films, I highly recommend the art books for his films Elysium and Chappie.

This is the medium of choice. Animated shorts to support the video games with interactivity is an enriching experience! (((WOW)))

Wow! That was impressive as hell. And I liked the demo for ANTHEM that was released a few weeks back; it did have a glitch or two but the look of the game and the gameplay itself were amazing. I am not going to buy it right out of the gate, but I will rent it first.

Oh, and there will be an “Art Of” book for ANTHEM.
